Wirkkala Paper Bag Vases
Multipurpose vessels for holding flowers, writing utensils or just looking great on display. Fantastic alone, and impressive in groupings.
The iconic Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala designed the Paper Bag vase in 1977 as part of the "Do Not Litter" collection. A series of vases and tabletop items designed to resemble lowly paper products, they were elevated by being produced in fine porcelain. The collection was influenced by the Pop Art movement as well as the burgeoning conservation movement.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Wirkkala's birth in 2017, Rosenthal released this new edition of colorful Paper Bag vases, in 4" and 7" versions.
