Logo Tee: 1970s Alessi
100% cotton standard-sized fine jersey tee featuring the 1970s-era logo for the Italian modern housewares brand Alessi. Shirt in white, logo in black.
Founded in 1921, Alessi made high-quality stainless steel products for the hospitality industry in Italy, only occasionally working with outside designers.
In 1970 Alberto Alessi came into the family firm and began extensive work with architects such as Ettore Sottsass. Alessandro Mendini, Richard Sapper and Achille Castiglione. The company changed its logo to this design, marking an experimental period and a break from the past. By the onset of the 1980s and the emerging new direction in design, Alessi again changed its logo to the one it uses today.
A great item for anyone interested in vintage design or graphic design!
