Cubic Sauce Pot
The Cubic Sauce Pot, designed in 1977 by Masahiro Mori, is an exploration of pure geometry. Made of porcelain by the famous Japanese manufacturer Hakusan, it is as lovely to use as it is to behold. It is perfect for soy sauce, but also for olive oil, balsamic vinegar or dessert sauces.
Masahiro Mori is an example of an established mid-century designer who adapted with changes in public taste but always explored new ideas with originality. His career as the creative vision for the Hakusan porcelain company established his reputation as a modernist in the 1950s, but by the 1970s he was exploring new ideas that pushed forward into the realm of early Post-Modern design.
The Cubic Sauce Pot measures 3"w x 3"d x 3-1/2"h (not including the spout). Available in white or black/brown.
Made in Japan.
