Braun BC-12 Classic Round Snooze Alarm Clock
The designs of Braun's "golden age," the period from the 1960s to the 1990s under the creative direction of Dieter Rams, have received renewed interest in recent years, due in no small part to the influence of Rams on the design aesthetic of Jonathan Ive for Apple.
In response, several classic clock designs - as well as new designs inspired by the originals - have been reissued by Braun.
This Braun Classic alarm clock is inspired by the classic face of the ABW 41 wall clock from 1981, designed by Dietrich Lubs. It measures a 3" in diameter and features a crescendo alarm and quiet precision quartz movement. It has luminous hands, for easier reading in the dark, and an integrated snooze/light function.
