Bauhaus Ornaments, Set of 12
Designed in 1929/30, possibly by the Bauhaus architect Johannes Gabriel in Dessau. The originals came from the estate of an architect from Cologne who purchased many objects directly at the Bauhaus.
In celebration of the centennial of the Bauhaus (1919 – 2019) this set of 12 turned wood Christmas ornaments was issued in a re-edition. Their clean geometric forms are reminiscent of the costume designs of Oskar Schlemmer for the Triadic Ballet.
