Braun BN-76 Square Digital LCD Wristwatch (1978)
The designs of Braun's "golden age," the period from the 1960s to the 1990s under the creative direction of Dieter Rams, have received renewed interest in recent years, due in no small part to the influence of Rams on the design aesthetic of Jonathan Ive for Apple.
In response, several classic watch designs - as well as new designs inspired by the originals - have been reissued by Braun.
This watch is a close reproduction of Braun's second watch design, the extremely sought-after Model DW-30 from 1978, of which only 8,000 were made.
It measures 42mm square by 11.5mm thick, with a matte stainless steel case and a leather strap. It has a an LED back lit digital display and has a 30m water resistance with a scratch resistant mineral glass and comes with a 2 year warranty.
