Whiskey Set Rock Glasses
The Masahiro Mori Rock Glasses are part of his Whiskey Set, designed in 1978. The "glasses" are made of very thin porcelain, each with unique indentations that actually fit the fingers perfectly for a very comfortable grip.
Made in Japan of high-quality porcelain by the famous Japanese manufacturer Hakusan.
Masahiro Mori is an example of an established mid-century designer who adapted with changes in public taste but always explored new ideas with originality. His career as the creative vision for the Hakusan porcelain company established his reputation as a modernist in the 1950s, but by the 1970s he was exploring new ideas that pushed forward into the realm of early Post-Modern design.
